To Add Insult to Injury...

I was asked today if I was pregnant.  Got to love having to answer, "No, I just have a big stomach."  And then laugh at the person when they tell you "No, you look great!"  Yeah, I look great if I'm pregnant.  I don't look great if I'm not pregnant and you're asking me if I am.

Anyone know a good plastic surgeon?

  3. I learned a long time ago that the only time it is appropriate to ask if someone is pregnant is if you can see a foot sticking out and even then, civilized people should think twice. This person obviously ain't civilized.

    Sorry.

  4. Why do people think a question like that is appropriate? It's as if when a woman is pregnant they think our feelings have disappeared. I was told 2x in as many months by the same guy that "you've gotten so big." Unfortunately for him, he also looked about 8 months preggo at the time but as much as I thought it I never said, "yeah, I'm pregnant. What's your excuse?" Geez...people need to think before they speak.

Your body is strong and capable of doing triathlons and keeping up with your girls. You're doing better than much of the population! The rest of your goals will fall in line!

  6. Gah! I am catching up on posts. I agree, not a question you just ask someone! As NJ posted you are strong and capable - far better than most of the population. I would rather look a bit heavier than I'd like and be healthy and strong than skinny and unfit.
